I started the Law Office of Douglas A. Oberdorfer, P.A. in 2003 after the unexpected death of my father. His clients were looking for help and I wanted to carry on his tradition of helping them with their family’s issues. Building upon my time litigating cases in the courtroom as an Assistant State Attorney, I decided to carry on his tradition of helping families in the areas of asset protection, estate planning, trust creation/management, probate administration and Medicaid planning. My goal is to be your family’s lawyer.
I was born and raised in Jacksonville and my family has been here for well over one hundred years. I am a proud graduate of Wolfson High School. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina and my law degree from the University of Florida. After law school, I gained invaluable experience representing the citizens of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney. My time at the State Attorney’s Office was focused on litigating cases in the courtroom. I know what it takes to try a case and will put this experience to work for you.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children. We are big sports fans and one of my greatest joys away from the office has been coaching youth baseball at our local ballpark.
